Moncler was founded in the small mountain village of Monestier-De-Clermont in France. Moncler is in fact the abbreviation of Monestier-de-Clermont.
It is also from here that the name of the Grenoble collection comes from, since Grenoble is a City near where Moncler was founded.
The city of Grenoble even hosted the olympic games in 1968.
In 2003, Moncler was acquired by the Italian Entrepreneur Remo Ruffini. Who later listed Moncler on the Italian Stock Exchange of Milan in the year 2013.
So.. saying that Moncler is French is correct. Saying that Moncler is Italian, is also correct.
